Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 Actress Pranitaa Pandit On Having A Baby During The Pandemic: 'My Parents Couldn't Be Around Me'- EXCLUSIVE
Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 actress Pranita Pandit speaks to us about getting pregnant and delivering a baby girl during the pandemic
It has been a blissful year for actor Pranitaa Pandit as she gave birth to a beautiful baby girl this year. However, being pregnant and delivering in a pandemic was not easy. “To stay positive and keep myself calm was a big achievement. Of course, there were low situations too but I used to bounce back from them. I have given birth to a child during this time and I am extremely proud of myself with the way I have dealt with my own situation and conquered my fear,” she says, adding, “My biggest achievement this year was dealing with my own situation and conquering myself as a human being. I would have never imagined that I can be somebody who can be at home. I have realised that I am actually strong enough to handle the situations that I have gone through this year. So, this has been quite challenging.”
The year had its own set of disappointments as well. “The most disappointing moment for me was that my parents weren't able to come and see me this year. It was disappointing obviously because it was the most special time of my life when I gave birth to a child and I really wanted my parents to be around but they were not able to be there,” she says. But this year is all about her daughter for Pranitaa. “I made a life this year and that is the moment that I am going to cherish all my life and live with it. For a lot of people, 2020 was about the pandemic but for me, it was having a baby during the pandemic. So that is the only thing I can cherish in 2020 and I'll always remember this year. It's super special,” she says. ALSO READ: Prannita Pandit And Shivi Pandit Are Set To Embrace Parenthood For The First Time, Lady Says: ‘We Are Blessed’
Ask her how she kept herself positive during the pandemic, and she says, “Initially, it was very difficult because we are not used to this lifestyle. I think there was this time where everyone was cooking, doing video calls, chatting and trying to keep themselves busy with household activities and that is what kept a lot of us positive. I went for small walks in my building and I still do. That is something which made me feel a little more positive about the situation. I felt that, at least, I can step out of the house and feel nature. And eventually, everyone got used to this particular type of lifestyle.”
She also learnt to be more spontaneous this year. “Apart from the daily routine, I actually got to learn this new thing called randomness. This particular situation has prepared me and a lot many people for randomness because there are a lot many things you think that won't ever happen but they actually happen. None of us would have contemplated this particular situation and no one would have ever thought that this strange thing can ever happen to us that we won't be able to step out of the house or meet our friends and family for such a long period of time. So, this period has specially prepared me to be spontaneous and I would want to continue this and prepare myself for everything as anything can happen anytime in our life which we might not even think of. In that aspect, meditation has really helped me a lot during this pandemic which I picked up and I would like to continue doing this throughout my life,” she says.
Talking about future plans, she says, “I am dying to go on a holiday and I want to travel with my little one. I am really looking forward to that and, of course, getting back to work.”
